Marlene Reader Harris Media Center

The Harris Media Center was a partially underground complex that included a theater, classroom, studio, photography lab, and office space. The center was dedicated in December, 1981 in honor of Marlene Harris, the late wife of J. Meade Harris of Roanoake, Virginia.

According to a preservation survey of Mars Hill College conducted in 2002, most of the rooms in the media center had significant water damage and were in need of drastic rehabilitation efforts. Beginning in 2015, the media center was torn down and in its place today is the Ferguson Health Sciences Building.
